A friend of mine introduced me to Pinterest... a website I instantly found both useful and expensive. I read about so many wonderful things here and was able to pin pictures to save for later.
My collection has grown to over 3000 items and seems to be continually growing. I am also using these ideas to help me prepare for my first classroom.
I have seen the question posed several times of how to use this site, why bother requesting an invite, or why waste the time?
For me, this is a digital filing cabinet with endless storage space. I check it out to find things that I may want to use someday. There are countless freebies available on the internet. I do not want to take the time to print them all out and file them away. They will get lost and forgotten about.
They will take up way too much room and add more clutter. I cringe when I see clutter! I use each board as my "filing cabinet drawer" inside each drawer I file away ideas of things for latter. The pins are my "files."
Not everything I pin will get used. Some ideas are just dreams that I can never afford but I have gone back there time and again to find something hidden in a drawer because now I need it.
