Welcome to my first blog! I am a mother to 3 children, a teacher, and prior to that a project manager. When I decided to switch careers and become a teacher, I never imagine all that it would entail!
After countless hours of research, I was astounded by the amount of money and supplies I would need. I made a decision, I would endeavor to start creating and collecting supplies while in graduate school. This would allow me to spread out the cost of my first classroom over a three year period (2 years of school and my first year of teaching). I have designed this blog to chronicle my experiences, my favorite teacher sites, my projects, and all the things I learn along the way.
UPDATE:
To better meet the needs of my readers, I have comprised a way to organize this blog. Some posts have been rearranged to correlate with this schedule. As this is my first blog, I am still learning. Thank you for your patience as I venture into the world of blogs!
On Monday, I will be joining other teachers and sharing with you my latest books. I typically am reading 2-3 books at a time. I will be using this time to spotlight one of the books I have read recently. This could be a children's book, young adult literature, or a professional book that I think will be of interest to all of you.
On Wednesday, I will be sharing with you things that I have learned from Graduate School. This could be a new technique, how to create a portfolio, items needed for student teaching, or an article I found interesting.
On Thursday, I will be sharing with you items from Vistaprints, my TpT store, the Dollar Tree, Target Dollar Spot, and other great deals and ideas for your shopping enjoyment.
On Saturday, I will be sharing with you my favorite teachers and their ideas. There are so many good teachers and so many good ideas! I can't wait to hear about your favorites as well.
ENJOY!
