Books for SPED/ESS

I was surprised at how much I enjoyed my time in special education and would really love to learn more about these amazing kids.

Here are some book recommendations that I received during my practicum or from my instructor. I plan on reading these sometime soon.

Please click on any of the pictures to take you to Amazon where you can read more about each of these titles.

What books would you recommend for me to read?

  1. Hi Misty! I'm your newest follower. My mom has taught SPED for 20+ years and so I've been around SPED students my entire life. I have a special place in my heart for them. I would DEFINITELY recommend Love and Logic! It's great for ALL students! I use it with my own children at home too!

YOU HAVE BEEN TAGGED on my blog! COME SEE!

  3. This looks just like the blog post I wrote a couple of days ago about math books. Some great books are here...have you personally read all of them or are some from just doing a search for?

    1. Hi Lorraine -

This post was written approximately 2 months ago and has been revised multiple times. Part of my purpose for blogging is to have a searchable archive of ideas. This collection of books is based upon recommendation from my professors, mentors, and books I have personally read.

Due to other commitments I have been unable to read any blogs for the past two weeks but am always looking for new ideas and can't wait to discover a few new books to read.
