Amazing, Incredible YOU!

I am not sure if ya'll have noticed or not but there is a rhyme and reason to the randomness of how I post. I have meet so many inspiring and amazing teachers. For all the negative that I hear about the teachers and education, coming to blogland and spending time with all of you refuels my passion.

I love to blog about the amazing teachers that I have discovered here in blogville. Today, I am lucky enought to get to introduce you to 10 new ones as I won an award from Shawna a few days ago.

Before I share with you who I am passing this along to... I would like all of you to meet Shawna.

The Picture Book Teacher's Edition is a treasure trove of wonder! This amazing teacher/aspiring author has taken the time to read a picture break, summarize it for us, provide the genre, theme, reading level, suggested vocabulary, and reading skills/strategies. FOR EACH BOOK! She has a searchable book list to make it easy for all of us to find the book we are thinking of and provide the information we need. What a thoughtful thing to do and an amazing blog.

BUT... she already won so moving on to the winners I choose....

joyin6th Homepage

Kim over at Finding JOY in 6th Grade is one of my must read blogs each time she posts. Raising 2 pre-teen sons is an adventure; teaching them is a feet of superpower strength and courage! Kim does both and manages to spread her JOY to all of us in bloggy town. Her comments make me smile, her posts make me laugh, and she has so much wisdom to share. Even during her blogdinity crisis.. she taught me something new.

The Crazy Adventures of a University Graduate

Amy from The Crazy Adventures of a University Grad shares a wide variety of things with all of us. As I am a grad school student, I love to read about those who are in grad school, student teaching, guest teaching, or on the hunt for their own classroom. I am currently doing all of these things so I completely get what she is saying. Plus I love all the pictures.

Buzzing with Ms. B Button

Have you been to Chrissy's blog? If not, you are missing out! She is hilarious... don't try to drink or eat anything while reading her blog. Oh and I suggest you bring tissues. There are times I have laughed so hard I cry. Her ideas are brilliant, her store is amazing, and her sense of humor is priceless!

Photobucket

Miss Foote and her class of Chickadee's always have so many wonderful things to share. Her posts are filled with inspiration and lots of pictures. Reading her blog is always an inside look at the day in the life of a teacher. Not only that but she is one of my amazing followers who I know will leave behind a comment spreading her love throughout blogland.

Traditions, Laughter and Happily Ever After

Have you met Vicki yet? You probably have... she has over 200 stalkers followers. She loves Dr. Seuss, her mama, her kiddos (both at home and at school), and is always working on some sort of craftivity. There is seriously a lot of cuteness happening in her class. After I find that Leprechaun of Reagan's I may just need to see if I can sneak in for some fun and craft lessons.

Heather's Heart

I am quite certain Heather's heart is made out of gold! I checked and could not believe she has not won an award before or perhaps she has and is too humble to say so (this is a BIG possibility). I could write an entire blog all about the amazing things one can find in Heather's classroom. Each day, her students hand her their heart (literally... it's a wooden heart with their name on it!) for safe keeping. She is simply... AMAZING!

5thGradeRocks, 5thGradeRules

Fifth Grade Rocks, Fifth Grade Rules is a new site but is big on inspiration and ideas. I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE her testing day tradition. You HAVE TO go and check it out. No wonder her past student's collect the item and her current and future students are excited to see what she will do next. I am too and I am not in her class! Plus she was featured on TBA. I am so jealous!

A Cupcake for the Teacher

I am a new follower of A Cupcake for the Teacher but I love it. I am especially jealous of the quite new pencil sharpner. I have heard of this magical invention before but have never actually seen one. I am planning on giving one away for my 100 follower give away. Teri is another amazing teacher with an endlesss supply of inspiration and craftiness!

Caught in the Middle

Jena and I have so much in common. First we both have a Seuss problem and a pinterest problem but there the similarities end. She has a middle grade classroom and I want one. So I love to visit her blog and her store and daydream about all the kids I can do once school is over. Then I find my boys and use them as test students. She has amazing ideas and shares them with all of this. Plus I love her sense of style!

Really? Reagan has not won this award yet?? I am surprised that so many of the more popular blogs are award-less. Well until today as I am giving some out! Reagan is simply amazing. She is famous, kinda like Kristen (but taller) and Farley. I am not really sure how to describe Reagan except to use my boy's favorite term "she is awesomely epic!" And she is now even better as she found her inner-seuss!

And one last thing....

TBA

Teaching Blog Addicts is the site that originally created the award and passed in on. This is the most amazing site ever. Each day they scour the web looking for the most amazing blog spots to share with us. Freebies galore! It is one stop shopping/blogging for the latest teaching techniques and resource. You can find blogs in your grade level and so many more. At times, I am overwhelmed by the information available from them but am oh so blessed that they are a part of my life. Now they have Pinterest boards. Wowsa.... so much of my time is spent drooling over the things they post and now I will have more to explore. Soon... they will be celebrating their first bloggy birthday. Can you believe they are only a year old??

So there you have it! TEN amazing blogs to visit and two bonus blogs for creating and sharing the award.

Thank you Misty! I'm so honored, and touched that you wrote about not just my blog, but all of the blogs that inspire you. And don't, fret. Someday you too will have your own intermediate classroom. My own five year stint in K-1 has made me a better sixth grade teacher. Kids frequently tell me that they love the fact that I sticker their work and give them holiday activities, since no one else does the "fun" stuff any more.
